History of the Chartered Accountancy profession in South Africa
The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) is a non-profit association that provides a wide range of services to its more than 38 000 members and trainees. Over 6 000 of its members are located in countries other than South Africa. In terms of the Chartered Accountants Designation Act, only members of SAICA have the right to use the CA (SA) designations.
